Here are 5 important tips to help you save on propane and participate in our NC Discount Savings group smoothly to receive your $1.99/gal propane this season. The first frost usually hits central NC in late Oct, and our deadline for our A-Group 1.99.gal rate is now Oct 10.
Please get your forms in, tanks ordered, and safety tests taken care of so you will be ready to roll.
If your tank is at or below 50% and you would like to go ahead and order to get ready/fill BEFORE THE FIRST COLD SNAP, email Bill@ncdiscountpropane.com
Many of you know these already, but we have lots of new members joining us, so it is best to review these best practices that are designed to help our savings group work well for all of us.
5 Important Practices and Tips
-- Remember that our group members DO NOT pay the delivery ticket with our bulk base price that the truck driver leaves. You DO PAY the emailed invoice we send from Bill@ncdiscountpropane.com a few days after your delivery, which contains your yearly membership fee and our slight markup on the gallons to $1.99. (Unlike other businesses, our small margins are transparent to our supporters)
-- All payments must be made online or by mailed check within 30 days to avoid a late fee of 15%, and in this tough economy, you can take the 30 days if needed, but we encourage everyone to please pay as soon as possible after receiving our emailed invoice from NC Discount Propane to help us keep the funds on hand needed for more shipments. If mailing a check, make sure you send it at least one week before your past due date.
-- If you are mailing in your payment for a tank or propane delivery to avoid the 3% processing fee, please keep our mailing address handy, and remember YOU MUST INCLUDE OUR SUITE NUMBER FOR YOUR ENVELOPE TO REACH US.

-- We can fill your propane tank anytime you need within 5 business days if you email Bill@ncdiscountpropane or call (919) 263-9061, and we recommend that all of you strategically fill your tanks (1) between now and Oct 20, (2) during the last week in December and (3) at the end of our contract next Spring.
-- To date, no NC Discount Propane Savings Group customer has ever run out of propane. Let's keep it that way! Keep an eye on your tank level and make sure you order when you go below 50-40% to keep safe from possible supply disruptions. Never let your tank go below 10% was this can present dangers. Make sure you have fire and carbon monoxide detectors in your home and one that is battery-powered in case you use firelogs when the power is out.
