NC State of Emergency & Propane Supply shortages Reported

bill5114

We recommend anyone with less than 60% in their propane tanks order a fill now before the end of 2022 due to blizzards, record cold temps, & reports of spreading supply issues!

The state of North Carolina has just declared an emergency because of the extreme cold heading our way, where forecasts predict Raleigh, NC, will have a high of 29 and low of 12 on Christmas Eve!

Some say this will be the coldest Christmas in decades due to a weather phenomenon called a Siberian Express.

The Governor of NC says "We know that with the extremely low temperatures, North Carolinians will need propane and other heating fuel to keep their families warm. While propane supplies are strong in the state (at the moment), there is a limited supply of licensed commercial truck drivers, which is being further exacerbated by COVID and flu outbreaks. The State of Emergency will help ease some restrictions and allow heating fuel companies to keep up with demand.” (View Source HERE)

There are reports of major supply problems with propane in the states of Wyoming and Idaho. Some professionals believe these shortages could spread as this blizzard hits much of America.

If your propane tank is under 60%, we recommend that you reply to this email with your name, address, and phone number to get your new order of propane in our NC Discount Propane system to stay ahead of any potential problems.

January and February are what we call "The Danger Months" when delivery and supply problems with propane, winter storms, and power outages are most likely. Topping off your tank up to the standard 80% before the New Year rush in early January is a wise strategic decision.

Let us know if you want to be scheduled for delivery, and please encourage your friends and family members to check and fill their tanks as soon as possible! So many people are focused on the holidays and sometimes forget to check those levels or put things off, thinking they have more time.

At NC Discount Propane, we want to do our best to keep you informed, well-provisioned, and ahead of any shortages, weather, or supply chain issues.

Hoping you and yours have a blessed, merry, and warm Christmas!
