Many propane customers in North Carolina are being caught by surprise at how fast their propane tank levels are dropping in this cold weather which is the coldest Winter we've had in many years! Many people are running out (thankfully not our current NC Discount Propane Customers so far) and smelling propane, which can happen when a tank's level goes below 10% or down to 0%. The resulting Emergency Calls for leaking propane and empty tanks are straining many of our propane companies. These low and empty tank and leak Emergency Calls are straining the entire propane supply chain in NC. Our supplier has moved many of their repair and safety check technicians into delivery trucks to try to meet demand, so it would be best to forgo any non-emergency propane repairs or upgrades until warmer weather. While we are still accepting new customers, our main focus is on keeping our existing NC Discount Propane customers supplied, safe, and warm.
A standard delivery request at this time may come quickly or could take 7-10 business days to reach your tank, and the Emergency Delivery for the $300 surcharge could take 48-72 hours to reach your tank under current operating conditions (which may worsen next week or with Winter precipitation)
We deliver $1.97/gal propane to customer-owned tanks in ALL NC LOCATIONS.

If your tank level is under 20%, you should place an Emergency Order and pay the surcharge ASAP. If your tank is under 60%, you should email us for a new delivery order NOW.

All NC Discount Propane customers are encouraged to prepare for possible more severe strain and delays on the propane supply chain over the next few weeks.
